Manage your company profile

Claim Your Restoration Company Listing

Your company may already have a profile in The Restoration Directory based on publicly available business information or information previously submitted to the directory.

Claiming the profile connects it to a verified company representative and provides a direct way to manage supported business information.

There is no charge to claim an existing company profile.

Verifying your relationship to the business and managing your supported profile information costs nothing. Directory Certified membership is separate and optional.

Your company may already be here

A Listing Can Exist Before the Owner Claims It

The Restoration Directory may publish company information before anyone from the business creates an account.

This helps property owners find restoration companies using available information such as the business name, location, phone number, website, services, and reported coverage area.

Until an authorized company representative is approved, the business does not have management access to that profile.

An existing profile does not mean another person owns your company listing. It means no approved company representative has been connected to it yet.

How profiles are researched and published is explained in How Listings Work and the Editorial Policy.

Take control of your information

Claiming Connects the Profile to the Business

When a claim is approved, the directory recognizes the account as an authorized representative of that specific business location.

From the owner dashboard, an approved representative manages the supported information on the profile. Some changes may require review before they appear publicly, and the directory may review or correct published information at any time under its editorial standards.

Additional sections such as team information, projects, and detailed credentials are part of the Directory Certified profile and follow their own review process.

Claiming an Existing Profile Is Free

There is no charge to verify your relationship to a business and claim its existing directory profile.

Claiming is separate from Directory Certified membership. A company can claim and manage its supported profile information without purchasing Directory Certified membership.

Claiming provides access

It connects an approved company representative to the profile.

Directory Certified is separate

It is an optional membership with additional profile requirements and a separate review process. Directory Certified Standards

Authorized representatives

The Claim Must Come From Someone Connected to the Business

A company profile should only be managed by someone authorized to represent the specific business location. Appropriate people may include:

Business owner
Franchise location owner
Company officer
Authorized manager
Marketing or administrative employee
Authorized agency or representative acting with the company’s permission

Being familiar with the company, being a former employee, or using a personal email address alone does not automatically prove authorization.

The verification process

How We Confirm Your Relationship to the Company

  1. 01

    Find the profile

Search for the company and select the specific physical location you represent.

  2. 02

    Submit the claim

Provide your name, contact information, role, company relationship, and any requested supporting information.

  3. 03

    Verify authority

The directory reviews information that confirms you represent that location.

  4. 04

    Access approved

When the relationship is confirmed, the account is connected to the company location and can manage the information supported by the owner dashboard.

What the review may look at

  • Business-domain email address
  • Contact information shown on the company website
  • Public business records
  • Licensing or registration records
  • Existing approved company contacts
  • Direct communication with the business
  • Supporting documentation when needed

A pending claim does not provide access until verification is complete.

You can submit the claim, then watch for a decision on your account. Nothing on the public profile changes while a claim is being reviewed.

Multiple locations

Each Physical Location Is Managed Separately

A restoration company may operate more than one office or franchise location. The same person may be authorized to manage several locations, but each location is connected and verified separately.

This helps prevent someone with access to one office from automatically controlling every location associated with the company or brand.

One company, one location

The approved representative is connected to that single published profile.

One company, several locations

The representative may request access to each location they are authorized to manage.

Important distinctions

Claiming a Profile Does Not Automatically Certify the Company

It does not create Directory Certified status

Claiming a profile and Directory Certified membership are separate processes.

It does not verify every company claim

Company-submitted information remains the company’s responsibility and may require additional support or review.

It does not guarantee publication of every edit

Information that is incomplete, unsupported, misleading, or inconsistent may require clarification before it stays published.

It does not guarantee leads or rankings

Claiming a profile does not guarantee phone calls, jobs, search rankings, AI citations, or a particular position in directory results.

Keep the profile accurate

Owners Are Responsible for the Information They Submit

A claimed profile should accurately represent the company and the specific local operation behind it.

Materially inaccurate information may be corrected, withheld, or removed under the directory’s editorial and certification policies. Anyone can also report a correction.

A company should not add services, credentials, locations, or coverage areas that it cannot reasonably support.

Keep current

  • Services offered
  • Service areas
  • Credentials
  • Licensing
  • Insurance information
  • Emergency availability

How Ownership Disputes Are Handled

More than one person may sometimes request control of the same company location. This can happen after an ownership change, employee departure, agency change, franchise transfer, or internal company dispute.

The directory verifies access to the profile. It does not decide private ownership, employment, partnership, franchise, or legal disputes between parties.

Contact Support About a Claim

When authority is unclear, the directory may

  • Pause the claim decision
  • Request additional documentation
  • Contact the company directly
  • Compare business-domain information
  • Review public ownership records
  • Temporarily suspend management access
  • Remove access from someone who no longer represents the company
Keeping access secure

When Claim Access May Be Removed

Access may be removed when:

The person no longer represents the company
The business changes ownership
The location closes
Authorization was misrepresented
A conflicting verified owner is approved
The account is used to submit materially false information
The company requests that access be removed
A security concern requires the account connection to be paused

Removing account access does not automatically delete the public company profile.

Ready to manage your profile?

Find Your Company and Request Access

Search for the company, choose the correct location, and submit the information needed to confirm your relationship to the business.

Do not create a duplicate profile when the company already appears in the directory. Search first, then claim the existing location.

Questions

Claiming and Ownership Questions

Does it cost anything to claim a company profile?
No. There is no fee to claim an existing company profile and verify your relationship to the business.
Why does my company already have a profile?
The directory may create a company profile using available business information before an owner or authorized representative claims it.
Who can claim a listing?
A business owner, authorized manager, company employee, franchise location owner, or another approved representative may submit a claim. The relationship to the specific business location must be verified.
Does claiming make the company Directory Certified?
No. Claiming provides management access to the company profile. Directory Certified is a separate paid membership with additional requirements and its own review process.
Can one account manage several company locations?
Yes, when the person is authorized for each location. Access should be verified and recorded separately for every physical business location.
What happens when two people claim the same location?
The directory may request additional documentation, contact the business, and pause access while authority is reviewed.
Can access be removed later?
Yes. Access may be removed when the person no longer represents the business, ownership changes, authorization was misrepresented, or another material access issue is identified.
