Crew Labor Calculator

Add one row per task with the crew count, hours per person and hourly cost to see person-hours and labor cost, per task and in total.

Task 1

The burden percentage you enter is applied to the labor subtotal: total = subtotal × (1 + burden ÷ 100). What the burden covers is up to you — the tool assumes nothing about wages, taxes or insurance.

Result

Enter the crew count, hours per person and hourly cost for each task to see person-hours and labor cost, per task and in total.

How the Calculation Works

Person-hours = crew count × hours per person. Task cost = person-hours × hourly cost. The labor subtotal is the sum of the task costs.

The optional burden percentage is applied to the labor subtotal: total = subtotal × (1 + burden ÷ 100).

Worked example: 3 people working 8 hours each at an hourly cost of 30 gives 24 person-hours and a task cost of 720. A 20% burden brings the total to 864.
